biking against borders.
hi, i’m seb:
Amsterdam to Japan. 3+ years. 25.000+km.
the old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born. now is the time of monsters.
in the midst of rising fascism, militarism and ecological annihilation , i’m learning about our broken world.
by crossing borders, we fight for the freedom to move.
we fight for liberation.
um, so.. any serious project starts with a biography, i think? the person in the pictures? that’s me! i’m an anarchist bus driver in Amsterdam who likes to read (my faves: David Graeber & Ursula K. LeGuin), climb things and cook vegan foods.
me (seb).
for many years, me and my comrades in the radical climate movement tried to stop the annihilation of our earth. we had little effect. instead, walls were being built. so i thought: in a world that’s on fire, we must react with compassion. if we don’t, then what is the point of it all?
that’s why i stepped on my bike, and started learning about borders. turns out that borders can teach us many things about the way our world works! a learning journey started that lead me to conquest, imperialism, scientific racism, zionism, academic complicity and more.
welcome along in this journey. <3
freedom to move
freedom to move
(my mom)
during the trip, i'll cross 25 borders. one example: Syria. i can enter Syria and drink tea with one of the endless hospitable Syrian families. but i cannot invite that family to drink tea in my room in Amsterdam. they (essentially) can’t come here in a legal way!
this is why i am fundraising against borders. to make the world free for everyone. we’re fundraising for 2 organizations that fight borders:
MiGreat is a political and direct aid organisation based in Amsterdam, and No Name Kitchen helps people across Europe during their migration journey.
so, while i bike, we raise money to support them.
check it out and support these 2 organisations?👇

social media platforms are truly: terrible. they ruin us, our societies and our earth.
